Spending the summer with your hideous feet hidden inside your shoes out of pure embarassment is just a no no. Not only does it make your feet worse by not giving them a chance to breathe, but it's also not a good look.
If you have a sad soul because of your cracked soles, why not carry out your own home made foot repair treatment without splashing out. Here are just a few tips on how to keep your feet sweet this summer:
1. Foot Scrub
Mix in some vaseline with salt and hey presto! you have your own foot scrub. Not only will this clear the dead skin off your feet, the vasline will moisturise them keeping them nice and smooth. Once every two weeks.
2. Moisture Oats
Time to relax in a bowl of oats. "Oats?" I hear you say. Well this remedy will refresh your feet making them as smooth as a babies bum. Take a small bucket of luke warm water, and mix with a few hand fulls of porrage oats. Then indulge in some low fat ice cream as you sit with your feet dipped in oats. Once a week.
3. Vasline
Before you go to bed each night, rub a thin layer of vasline onto your feet and leave them for five minutes before placing some socks on to keep the moisture in. Daily.
4. Seaside!
Go for a long walk along a sandy beach, without your flip flops! The tiny grains of sand will work as a scrub and will take away that dead skin leaving your feet feel lovely and soft. Don't forget to wash and moisturise them afterwards!
5. Colour or Manicure?
If you want to draw attention to your feet, why not add some vibrant colours to your toe nails? Or you can tone it down by sticking to neutral colours, but the best look I think, is the natural look- manicure manicure manicure!
