A Healthy Glow

It's summer. It's hot, it's sticky and the last thing you want is the make up you piled on your face earlier to slide into your pores, leaving you with more spots.

Opt for the natural look. Let your skin take in this long awaited vitamin D from the sun. Let your skin shine, and feel free. Let your skin breathe. Ok. Easier said than done.

For some people, make up is a must to cover up scars and blemishes. Summer-time can be a bad time for those with bad skin because most don't like to apply a layer to their face when its hot as it doesn't allow the skin to breathe.

These minor steps will help your skin rid of spots and scars making you feel confident enough to go make up free this summer!

1. Cleanse- clean your face daily, using herbal soaps and cleansers are very good for your skin as they contain natural ingredients. I'd reccommend products at Lush because they are natural and fresh.

2. Rose Water- Using rose water as a toner is great before you sleep. After cleansing your face, applying rose water with cotton wool cools your face. Leave for five minutes before applying a cream that it for your skin type.

3. Scrubs- You don't need to go all out and buy facial scrubs. The best way is to get a blob of vasline and salt. If you have sensitive skin and are prone to spots, do not rub hard against your skin and don't add too much salt, gently apply the treatment to your face before washing off with water. Your face will be left baby soft.

4. Fruit- You can make your own face masks at home- using bruised fruit you will no long like to eat. Avocado and banana for example, with a little lavender oil to calm senstive skin and skin prone to spots, is a great mix.

5. Coca Butter- This is really good if you're looking to rid of those marks and scars. You must use this cream twice a day everyday to see results.

6. Dry Skin- Simple Derma Lotion is great if you have dry and sensitive skin. Use it 3 times a day until you begin to see results, then twice a day- morning and night, after cleasing your face.

7. Oats- You can also make your own facemask for sensitive skin using porrage oats with some natural yoghurt and a little bit of ground nutmeg. Mix together to form a paste and slap it on your face and leave for 10 minutes.

Try it out and let me know if it helps!
